Position Summary
As Legal Counsel Corporate & Compliance you will be directly reporting to our Chief Corporate & Securities Counsel. You will provide corporate legal support globally, with a particular focus in EMEA, and be the main POC for the following areas: entity management, corporate restructurings and intercompany agreements, treasury, and accounting.
Your Role:
Corporate
Providing corporate legal support globally, with a particular focus in EMEA, including the following areas: entity management, corporate restructurings, intercompany agreements, treasury, and accounting. Coordinate and align with the Global Corporate Specialty team to ensure consistency across these areas of law.
Compliance
Support Aptiv’s compliance goals by ensuring adherence to laws and regulations and promoting a speak-up culture. Advise on compliance topics and policies, such as conflicts of interest, anti-bribery laws, fair competition, and whistleblowing. Coordinate with the Global Compliance Team on compliance initiatives.
Commercial and General Counseling
Advise key stakeholders on contracting with customers, suppliers, and other third parties, including drafting, reviewing, and analyzing contractual terms. Develop strategies for contracting that maximize benefits and minimize risks. Collaborate with business teams on a wide range of legal issues, including litigation, dispute resolution, employment, real estate, and corporate matters.
Your Background:
Experience in a law firm or multinational company.
Qualified to practice as an attorney in Switzerland.
Experience advising multinational organizations on complex global matters and transactions.
Sophisticated law firm experience.
Experience in a corporate legal environment with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
Ability to handle complex legal matters and develop solutions-oriented strategies that mitigate risks while achieving commercial objectives.
Ability to work independently and lead projects as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with cutting-edge technology matters.
Ability to serve as a business partner and build consensus on complex legal and business issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English.
