We are now looking for a new Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland

The Paralegal will provide essential support to the legal team in EMEA, focusing on assisting with legal document preparation, legal research, contract management, and ensuring compliance with Swiss law and company policies. The role involves organizing legal files, supporting the legal team in various administrative and operational tasks, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  1. Assist in the preparation, review, and management of contracts, legal documents, and agreements.
  2. Conduct legal research on Swiss laws and regulations, providing summaries and reports to the legal team.
  3. Manage and maintain legal files, ensuring that all documents are organized and up to date.
  4. Support the legal team in the management of corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, minutes, and corporate filings.
  5. Assist in the preparation and submission of legal and regulatory filings in compliance with Swiss regulations.
  6. Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed, ensuring that all legal processes are smoothly managed.
  7. Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing legal documentation.
  8. Monitor changes in Swiss legal and regulatory requirements that may impact the business and report these to the legal team.
  9. Support the legal team in due diligence processes, particularly in mergers and acquisitions or other corporate transactions.
  10. Assist with compliance-related tasks, such as preparing compliance reports and ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant regulations.
  11. Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark renewals and other related tasks.

What Would Be the Perfect Qualifications?

  1. Paralegal certification or a degree in a related field.
  2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a paralegal or legal administrative role, preferably within an international or Swiss legal environment.
  3. Strong organizational and research skills, with attention to detail.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German or French.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  7. Familiarity with Swiss corporate law and legal procedures is highly desirable.
