An der Medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Zürich ist eine Assistenzprofessur ohne Tenure Track für Klinisch-experimentelle Neurootologie zu besetzen.

Die Assistenzprofessur ist angesiedelt an der Klinik für Ohren-, Nasen-, Hals- und Gesichtschirurgie des Universitätsspitals Zürich. Der Forschungsschwerpunkt der Klinik liegt im Bereich der Otologie, insbesondere in der Biomechanik und der Elektrophysiologie des audiovestibulären Systems, der auditorischen Neuroplastizität und des Tinnitus. Die Assistenzprofessur soll das Verständnis, die Diagnose und die Behandlung eines breiten Spektrums von Störungen, welche Gleichgewichtsstörungen und Schwindel verursachen, verbessern und damit zur Weiterentwicklung der Klinik beitragen.

Von der erfolgreichen Kandidatin/dem erfolgreichen Kandidaten werden die Leitung eines experimentellen und klinischen Forschungsteams auf dem Gebiet der ausgeschriebenen Professur sowie klinische Leistungen als leitende Ärztin/leitender Arzt erwartet. Die ideale Kandidatin/ der ideale Kandidat ist bereits international visibel, hat erfolgreich eigene Forschungsmittel eingeworben und ist regional, national oder international vernetzt. Er/sie verfügt über eine kreative und kooperative Persönlichkeit, die sich für Spitzenleistungen in Forschung, Klinik und Lehre einsetzt.

Hinsichtlich der klinischen Qualifikation wird eine abgeschlossene Facharztausbildung in Otorhinolaryngologie (HNO) und Führungserfahrung mindestens auf Stufe einer Oberärztin/eines Oberarztes erwartet. Deutschkenntnisse auf Niveau B2 des gemeinsamen europäischen Referenzrahmens für Sprachen sollten vorhanden sein oder müssen innert nützlicher Frist erworben werden.
