An der Medizinischen Fakultät (MeF) der Universität Zürich ist auf den nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine
Assistenzprofessur (non Tenure Track) für Epidemiologie, mit Fokus auf kausaler Inferenz und Gesundheitsökonomie
zu besetzen.

Die Professur ist am Institut für Epidemiologie, Biostatistik und Prävention angesiedelt und zudem an die Mathematisch-naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät (MNF) angegliedert.

Die neu geschaffene Professur für Epidemiologie mit Fokus auf kausaler Inferenz und Gesundheitsökonomie befasst sich mit aktuellen methodologischen Themen im Bereich der ausgeschriebenen Professur sowie mit deren Anwendung in der populationsbasierten und klinischen Forschung. Die Professur soll sowohl mit Beobachtungsstudien als auch mit Daten aus der Routineversorgung arbeiten, um so Evidenz aus der realen Versorgung zu generieren.

Die Professur erbringt die Lehre im Rahmen der Bachelor-, Master- und PhD-Studiengänge an der MeF und MNF. Hier soll Studierenden ein Grundverständnis für Methoden der kausalen Inferenz und gesundheitsökonomischen Analysen vermittelt werden.

Erfolgreiche Kandidierende verfügen über einen MD, PhD oder einen äquivalenten Abschluss und über nachgewiesene Forschungskompetenz auf dem Gebiet der Professur, insbesondere in Bezug auf die Entwicklung und Anwendung moderner Methoden der kausalen Inferenz und der Gesundheitsökonomie, und vorzugsweise im Bereich der Prävention und Behandlung chronischer Erkrankungen. Neben einem exzellenten Forschungsausweis wird eine kollaborative Grundeinstellung mit Bereitschaft zur Unterstützung von Gruppen am Institut für Epidemiologie, Biostatistik und Prävention und an der UZH erwartet. Eine ausgeprägte Motivation für innovative Lehre und die Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses ist wünschenswert.
