AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is looking for Enterprise Service Managers (ESM) that can manage the working relationship with global bio-pharma organizations, develop a long term Professional Services strategy and execute that strategy within those accounts.

The ESM is a trusted advisor for our largest and most committed customers. The role includes all aspects of business development, relationship development, and delivery oversight in those accounts. This is a sales role and the ESM carries a bookings and revenue target.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

  1. Long term development of bio-pharma Global Organizations and overall health care space.
  2. Experience in understanding the clinical trials processes in depth.
  3. Engage with customers to understand their business drivers and application portfolio.
  4. Development of long term Cloud Strategy for customers.
  5. Identify & develop specific opportunities and supporting business cases.
  6. Deal shaping, including estimations and deal pricing.
  7. Contract negotiations & closing.
  8. Planning and implementation of a portfolio of projects, including budget & deliverable responsibilities.
  9. Educate customers on AWS services and translate those into a clear business value proposition.
  10. Envision and inspire customers.

This is a customer facing role and will require up to 50% travel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with HCLS domain expertise in areas such as clinical trial design, clinical workflows, executing clinical trials, preparation for regulatory submissions and clinical decision support.
  • Experience designing, building or deploying clinical solutions or extensive work with industry solutions in this space.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementation and consulting with Clinical Trials.
  • Understanding of cloud platform services, cloud-native architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Relevant experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales or consulting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in transforming Clinical Trials processes with a focus on simplification and leveraging cloud technologies.
  • Experience in working with AWS services to enable business transformations in the clinical trials domain.
  • Multiple years of experience working in a consulting environment interacting with senior business stakeholders to achieve transformational goals.
  • Experience working with Clinical Trials data, including expertise in SDTM, ADaM, and end-to-end clinical trial processes.
  • Experience of working with Clinical and non-Clinical Development, and how these areas interact with Clinical Trials (e.g. Regulatory, Safety, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, Clinical Manufacturing and Supply).
  • Experience in developing large and complex proposals.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GxP and FDA.
