Quality Assurance Engineer / Project Manager

Located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, SpacePNT develops and commercializes spaceborne GPS/GNSS receiver products based on its own radiation-tolerant design and technology (including all electronics, mechanical, and algorithms). Its products address the most demanding satellites' applications, delivering on-board real-time decimetre-level Positioning Navigation Timing (PNT) information in low Earth orbits, and super high sensitivity PNT for high altitude missions up to the Moon.

Your mission

  • Ensure with appropriate product quality assurance and project management methods that each item produced by SpacePNT is specified, procured, designed, manufactured, assembled, integrated, tested, and delivered in accordance with the applicable product/project specifications, within schedule and budget.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact with all relevant parties (customer, management, engineering, subcontractors, suppliers) within the project concerning all Quality Assurance (QA) and Project Management (PM) related matters.
  • Update, maintain and implement the existing Product Assurance (PA) and Project Management plans for the execution and delivery of the project and proactively take all measures to meet project targets in terms of quality, schedule, and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable space industry standards (full space, new space) and customer specifications.
  • Review and contribute to technical documentation to ensure consistency with the PA/PM plans.
  • Ensure day to day technical/quality and programmatic management/support to warrant the on-time release of the project deliverables including milestone documentation and progress reports.
  • Ensure early detection of potential or actual issues that could result in uncompliant product performance and provide rapid effective corrections of all such conditions.
  • Lead the process for non-conformance, request for deviation/waiver.
  • Lead the parts selection and procurement.
  • Maintain the dependability analyses processes (reliability, availability, worst-case, part-stress/derating).
  • Support the bidding process from a PA/PM perspective.
  • Participate in the continuous maintenance and improvement of the company’s processes.

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in relevant engineering topic (space, aerospace, electrical, electronics, microelectronics, software, mechanical, physics, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience (min. 5 years) in achieving customer requirements with the design and development and manufacturing of electronics and/or robotics and/or space mechanisms, preferably for use in space.
  • Deep experience and broad knowledge with some of the following certifications: AS 9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 16949 and/or standards: ECSS, NASA, MIL, automotive.
  • Experience in a similar position in the space, car, medical or aircraft industry is a plus.
  • Excellent written and communication skills and naturally team-oriented.
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing; other languages, in particular French, is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiator, with strong analytical skills and confirmed sense of organization and planning.
  • Creative, reliable, results-driven, autonomous and a good team-player.
