Process Improvement Engineer in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

The role of a Manufacturing Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the manufacturing operations at our Neuchatel-based pharmaceutical company meet their goals in terms of quality and productivity. Reporting to the Deviation Manager, this individual will provide technical expertise to investigate deviations related to the manufacturing process and facilitate continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Investigate and manage deviations, leveraging Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC, Is/Is Not, Cause & Effect Diagram, 5M, Contradiction Matrix, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that drive quality and productivity enhancements.
- Analyze data to evaluate the impact of equipment/product/material on manufacturing processes and develop effective solutions.
- Bachelor/Master in Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of biotechnological processes (USP and/or DSP) and cGMP manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated experience in deviation management, including use of Six Sigma tools and QMS systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and statistical software (e.g., MiniTab).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact with various Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
