Connecting Elite Private Bankers with Global Opportunities | Expert in Discreet & Strategic Placements Urgent requirement for a Senior Avaloq Developer Payments, based in Basel, Switzerland for a major financial institution. Responsibilities Build and enhance payment-related features within the banking platform, ensuring reliable and efficient transaction processing Develop and maintain integrations between the core system and external payment services, including fraud‑prevention tools and payment gateways Adapt and extend payment modules to meet the technical requirements of networks such as SEPA, SWIFT, SIC, and other ISO20022‑based channels Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth coordination and quick resolution of issues Investigate and solve production incidents in the payments area, offering expert support to operational teams Participate in testing cycles and assist with deployment activities Contribute to modernising the payments landscape by adopting technologies such as microservices, cloud‑native components, and container platforms Collaborate with development teams to continuously refine processes, improve system performance, and promote strong engineering practices Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or an equivalent technical field Certification or formal training in Avaloq development is beneficial At least 5 years of hands‑on experience working with Avaloq Initial exposure to payment systems or payment processing workflows Solid understanding of Avaloq configuration and development Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritise effectively Practical mindset with the ability to take ownership and work proactively High level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity Ability to collaborate with different stakeholders Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage If you are interested and have the skills and experience required, please send your CV to vipul.patel@ateca.co.uk.
