ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Research & Innovation Digital Transformation, within the Research & Innovation Department, the primary objective of this role is to leverage data to support strategic decision-making and enhance innovation performance.

You will work at the intersection of data engineering, data science, digital transformation strategy, and technology.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include:

1. Data Strategy Development:
   • Support senior leadership to define the innovation data strategy.
   • Identify strategic opportunities where data can create value, improve efficiency, and drive competitive advantage.
   • Support the development of digital transformation initiatives involving data analytics.
2. Data Governance and Policy:
   • Implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
   • Define data ownership and data quality guidelines.
3. Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy:
   • Design and implement BI solutions that empower decision-makers with actionable insights.
   • Create executive dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance metrics.
   • Support strategic recommendations based on BI findings.
4. Advanced Analytics:
   • Lead advanced statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning initiatives.
   • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in large datasets.
   • Translate complex analytical results into business-friendly insights.
5. Data Architecture and Infrastructure:
   • Collaborate with IT teams to design scalable data architectures.
   • Optimize data pipelines and models for efficiency and reliability.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
   • Identify areas for process improvement and innovation.
   • Iterate on data strategies based on feedback and evolving business needs.

PROFILE

1. Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems). PhD degree would be a plus.
2. More than 10 years of work experience in a similar position, in an industrial sector.
3. Proficiency in machine learning and AI modelling.
4. Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling (e.g., Power BI).
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform.
6. Experience in Azure Cloud solutions.
7. Experience in data analytics and mining programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, SQL).
8. Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
9. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
10. Strong team player with ability to work in a fast-paced cross-disciplinary environment.
11. Experience with data governance, data modelling, and data architecture.
12. Industrial process mindset.
13. Familiar with change management methodologies.
14. Fluent in English, a good knowledge of French is strongly appreciated.
