E-Commerce Junior Frontend Developer

The E-commerce Junior Front-end Developer is a technically skilled individual with a strong inclination towards innovation to continuously improve the GUESS.EU platform with a specific focus on frontend, backend development and User Experience. This individual will assist the E-commerce Frontend Developer in creating a key liaison between the business, the development team and the MIS department, providing technical support to ensure consistency and quality in implementations.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and coordinate the creation of modules and components for the Guess website using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPscript, OCAPI, API, and AJAX.
  2. Turn mockups into functional requirements using Confluence and Jira.
  3. Provide technical support across all teams within the e-commerce department including SFCC Business manager.
  4. Create and modify transactional emails in both the legacy system and the new system.
  5. Implement custom code on the website to enhance or modify the standard behavior of pages or sections, creating personalized experiences for customer journeys in coordination with the web marketing team.
  6. Utilize Google Tag Manager for the implementation of custom tags and tracking pixels, monitoring performances.
  7. Assist the E-commerce Frontend Developer in monitoring the platform's technical performance to anticipate and solve potential issues.

Requirements

  1. Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
  2. Experience with React or Angular is preferable.
  3. Experience with AB-testing platforms is preferable.
  4. Creating e-mail templates, AMPScript.
  5. Ability to implement custom solutions to enhance website functionality.
  6. Open mind and eagerness to learn.
  7. Problem solving mindset and sense of urgency.
