Global Biologics Technical Operations is searching for an experienced Head of Digital Products. This individual will lead the Global Biologics Digital team and sub teams to ensure the Biologics division continually evolves digital systems and technologies to operationally and technically advance our Development and Manufacturing services. This will include a significant focus on data management across the division, ensuring a clear digital strategy and highly coordinated operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accountable for delivering the digital strategy for Biologics that aligns with overall Divisional business goals.
  2. Assist the Digital Strategy lead with development of the Divisional Strategy.
  3. Accountable for the implementation and performance of all digital services and products within the division, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering value to the business and its customers.
  4. Responsible for the deployment of new services/products alongside Group Ops, R&D, and IT/OT counterparts.
  5. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital innovation and process optimization.
  6. Define the Lonza Biologics Standard Digital systems for sites and align with Group functions.
  7. Responsible for the maintenance and evolution of computerized systems to ensure agile management.
  8. Collaborate with Digital Site Leads to ensure Network digital alignment and consistent strategy.
  9. Implement digital solutions to enhance efficiency, quality control, and overall operational excellence.
  10. Provide decision support through data-driven insights to enhance operational decision-making.
  11. Ensure the business and information architecture focuses on business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimizing costs, and mitigating risks.
  12. Lead change management initiatives to drive digital transformation across the business division.
  13. Accountable for developing and implementing training programs to enhance digital literacy and skills across the division.
  14. Member of the Lonza Digital Council.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  2. 10+ years of experience in Biopharma and/or Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing.
  3. 7+ years of experience supervising direct reports and managing organizational change effectively.
  4. Preferred Agile/SCRUM certification.
  5. Broad knowledge of digital technologies such as mobile technologies, Internet of Things, Data Science, and cybersecurity in the context of manufacturing.
  6. Good understanding of agile delivery methods.
  7. Experience in Innovation Management methods including development of Business Models & Business Cases.
  8. Good understanding of regulated environments and related challenges for digital transformation projects.
  9. Proven experience with IT Security topics in the context of digitalization.
  10. Leadership to drive innovation and digital transformation aligned with business goals and industry trends.
