Senior Credit Officer Swiss Mortgages

Do you enjoy structuring, analysing and underwriting Swiss mortgage credit facilities? For our credit structuring and approval team, we are looking for a Senior Credit Officer to help us manage and grow the Swiss mortgage book in line with the credit risk appetite of the bank.

What would your role be?

  • Take responsibility for the analysis, structuring and underwriting of mortgages and the qualitative growth of the loan book.
  • Provide solutions and risk-oriented support in structuring credit solutions, pro-actively working with your stakeholders in the front organization, ensuring risk-appropriate solutions.
  • Support the implementation of the mortgage strategy and attend related projects and initiatives as a special matter expert.
  • Help in developing and improving our credit processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent higher education.
  • At least 10+ years of proven experience in the financial industry, and in a credit underwriting function.
  • Excellent understanding of the mortgage business, end-to-end process and the Swiss real estate market.
  • Strong analytical and structuring skills, combined with a “can-do” attitude, an ability to judge risks independently and enable business thanks to also a strong client and service-focus.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills in German and English, combined with the ability to develop and maintain a professional stakeholder management.
