General Business Operator

About the RoleWe’re looking for a seasoned operator who keeps the business running day-to-day so the Founder can focus on Sales, Strategy, Team & Client Development.This role is dynamic and evolves with the needs of the business. You’ll switch between operations, finance, people, clients, and internal quality, owning projects and solving problems before they hit the Founder’s desk.About what. AGWe are a digital consultancy based in Zurich with a global team of 50+ specialists and clients ranging from innovative startups to large global brands.We build modern websites, digital products, and help our clients grow with smart, creative strategies.We deliver first‑class quality with passion and commitment, always putting our clients at the center while adapting with creativity and resilience.People & Team SupportHandle day‑to‑day people requests (special cases, perks, questions)Support recruitment and resourcing decisionsRun selected 1:1s with team membersLead project debriefs to capture learnings (positive + negative)Client & Project OperationsDeal with small client issues before they escalatedStep in on client emergencies and coordinate a fast solutionReview offers and proposals for quality before they go outPrepare offers based on structure + input from FounderProvide input on projects and special casesWork closely with:Head of Delivery – deadlines, margins, scope clarityHead of Client Relations – client health, satisfactionTechnical Advisors – quality and innovation of our servicesOperations & Admin BackbonePrepare and coordinate audits and non‑standard queries (e.g. tax, social security, etc.)Manage cashflow, chase payments, ensure financial hygieneApprove smaller payments and internal expensesReview the Founder’s calendar, align priorities, protect focusProcess & Quality ImprovementsSpot operational gaps and fix them without dramaImprove internal processes across finance, delivery, onboarding, and daily workflowsEnsure the business runs predictably, consistently, and with high qualityYou’re a Fit If You AreA sharp problem‑solver with strong business judgementA natural operator who is comfortable owning operational decisionsExperienced in digital agencies/consulting (10+ years, senior level)Calm under pressure, structured, reliableSkilled at managing many small moving parts without losing focusStrong communicator who can challenge, support, and prioritiseDigitally savvy and data‑driven mindsetStrong understanding of the digital domain (i.e. web development, digital marketing)A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a drive to grow professionallyExperienced in Swiss business environment, incl. regulations and obligations of a Swiss AGMother tongue DE, fluent in CH-DE and ENWhy This Role ExistsThe Founder currently leads too many areas and the goal is to free Luke to focus only on Strategy & Growth.
