Project Management Intern – spraying solution

Schedule: 6 months starting November 2024, with a possibility of extension to a full-time position
Holidays: 25 paid holidays/year
Location: Kemptthal (Zurich), Switzerland or hybrid

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, optimize, and, together with external engineering companies, assemble liquid spraying solutions for industrial applications (hardware and software).
  2. Prepare manuals, product data sheets, SOPs, ensure hardware and software compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity protocols.
  3. Build strong relationships with external partners (suppliers, clients, etc.) for effective project collaboration.
  4. Customize the spraying systems to customers’ requirements and install them at various textile processing facilities globally (include 5-20% travel time).
  5. Remotely monitor and troubleshoot the installed systems; interact with customer project teams and support them with technical advice.
  6. Support senior project managers with other project management and operational tasks.
  7. Help the Haelixa team in delivering a great product

Your profile:

  1. Passionate about working in a start-up.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience in diverse stakeholder management.
  3. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related technical field or combination of education and experience.
  4. Swiss/EU/EFTA work permit.
  5. Flexibility and energy to work in a high-speed and high-intensity work environment.
  6. Autonomy, independence, and proactivity.
  7. Willingness to travel internationally for installation of spraying solution (ca. 1 week every quarter).
  8. Technical skills:
    1. Embedded systems design and programming.
    2. Understanding of electrical systems, PLC-Arduino microcontrollers, and sensor integration.
    3. Familiarity with embedded systems programming (C/C++, Python) and IoT services (e.g., InfluxDB, Kafka).
    4. Knowledge of Real-time operating systems (RTOS).
    5. Mechanical system design, fluidics.
  9. Preferred: 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  10. Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-direction.
