Product Manager for Business Development, 90-100%

For its Business Unit Advanced Products within the Semiconductor Solutions Group, VAT is looking for a talented Product Manager with profound knowledge in control systems, and/or vacuum dynamics for Semiconductor chip manufacturing, as well as visionary views on the upcoming challenges of the leading-edge semiconductor applications. The role is a strategic product management position responsible for business development to transform the upcoming market requirements into technology and product roadmaps with underlying solid business cases. The candidate has a proven track record of solving leading edge technical challenges. You bring strong business acumen, demonstrate strategic thinking and know how to further build our customer trust and loyalty. You are able to provide fact driven proposals to solve complex problems and you are passionate to work with and further develop a globally matrixed team of experienced engineers and scientists.

YOUR CHALLENGES

  1. Owning the product offering for selected advanced products, at first, a new pressure control system development
  2. Acting as the driver of an incubator for new products in semiconductor applications
  3. Particularly related to process control and vacuum dynamics
  4. Engaging with customers and guiding them in finding better solutions for their high value challenges
  5. Transforming customer needs to actionable product specifications
  6. Initiating and supporting the required innovation projects within the multi-functional matrix team
  7. Developing product roadmaps and marketing strategy together with technology and application teams
  8. Working within a team based in several locations (Haag, Zürich, Mendrisio)
YOUR COMPETENCIES

  1. Master’s or PhD degree in sciences or engineering preferably in control systems, electronics or physics
  2. Profound knowhow in product management for high-tech products, e.g. for the semiconductor equipment
  3. Pro-active collaboration within the matrix organization
  4. Strong entrepreneurial spirit, high level of engagement, the ability for strategic and solution-oriented thinking and acting, as well as proactive and responsible teamwork complete your personal profile
  5. Negotiating skills in English (fluent in spoken and written), German is an advantage
  6. Willingness to grow your responsibilities and showing your potential while taking over ownership
