About The Role

The purpose of this role is to structure and improve data availability to support efficient production planning activities and decision making.

Main Objectives
  • Collaborate with the team to gather data requirements and understand data sources.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Improve and develop tools to increase accuracy and minimize manual work.
  • Cleanse, transform, and integrate data from various sources to ensure its quality and consistency.
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance data engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand business data needs and advise department on technological solutions; act as SME for data/reporting topics.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of data models and database structures.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure smooth and efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading in Databricks.
  • Improve/develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and build apps to support department and minimize manual workload in planning activities.
  • Conduct data analysis to enhance comprehension and support informed decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices in data engineering, and apply this knowledge to optimize data processes and drive innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
  • University Degree and/or justified experience.
  • Strong foundation in data modeling and SQL / Proficiency in Python / Experience using Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong technical expertise in data models, data mining, and data analysis.
  • Ability to effectively translate and structure business requirements into process flowcharts and data requirements.
  • Experience in creating/managing technological infrastructure of a data platform.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, specifically SQL and Python.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge or qualification in Supply Chain is considered a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of SAP PP (Production Planning) is also a desirable qualification.
