Type Intern Analyst (Pipeline)

Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically to support business clients, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Corporate and Institutional Clients (CIC) business in Switzerland.

You’ll get to:

  1. experience the day-to-day of a relationship management role, including supporting them in their daily work, preparing for client visits or client events
  2. learn about Banks as a key client segment and the main opportunities and challenges of servicing this segment
  3. support the team in strategic projects including consolidating revenue data from partner banks and creating a reporting view of our key Bank relationships
  4. support the team in identifying opportunities to grow business with Bank clients, and develop an understanding of the UBS offering for banks
  5. maintain relationships with internal and external clients
  6. build an understanding of our industry, culture, and strategy

Your team

You will be working in the EMEA Banks Relationship Management team based in Zurich. Our mandate is to manage the relationship that UBS has with other Banks. We are a dynamic team who works across the firm providing comprehensive banking solutions. We collaborate with all UBS business divisions and support them in increasing business with our Banks clients. Our team is central to developing and maintaining a group wide understanding of the bank relationships UBS has.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:

  1. has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor's degree, and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor's or master's degree)
  2. has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
  3. is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, critical thinking and is a fast learner
  4. has strong communication skills and the ability to develop relationships, identify client needs and to effectively problem solve
  5. has a good understanding about how Banks work, key business lines and a high level understanding of the current financial industry challenges / opportunities
  6. is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
  7. is fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
  8. has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative

Start date: March or April 1st

Your program

This paid internship will last six months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you've completed your studies.
