Director of Sales F/M

Morgan Philips has been retained by an iconic 5* hotel in the Western part of CH, with hotels across Europe for a Director of Sales reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing and to the General Manager.
Our client is looking for a leader with proven experience managing sales team, a true sales with a strong network in key international markets such as US, UK and proven track record of representing a top luxury hotel.
Reporting directly to the VP Sales & Marketing, with frequent travels, you role will be:
- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives,
- Work together with the VP Sales, GM and Director of RM on forecast and budget for the division and each individual within your team,
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals (4 persons),
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, travel agents, and corporate accounts to maximize revenue opportunities,
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the hotel's operations are aligned with the sales strategy,
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization,
- Monitor and manage the hotel's inventory and pricing strategies to ensure maximum occupancy and revenue,
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management,
- Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote the hotel and identify new business opportunities,
- Train and mentor sales team members to improve their sales skills and performance,
- Develop and maintain a positive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
For this specific job opportunity, our client is after the following values and expertise :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality,
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in hospitality sales in a luxury environment
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in the hospitality industry,
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions,
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales software applications,
- Familiarity with hospitality industry trends, practices, and regulations,
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed,
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for sales,
- Fluent in English & German mandatory, any other language is a plus,
- European or Swiss Passport required.
