For our client, an asset manager specialized in Insurance Linked Securities, we are looking for an all-rounder Finance Manager to join their team in Zurich.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a minimum of four years in finance roles, preferably in regulated, multi-jurisdictional organizations. This role reports to the CFO and requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

About the job:

  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting:
    • Oversee monthly financial closing and consolidation.
    • Manage external accounting firms.
    • Prepare financial forecasts and regulatory filings.
    • Conduct financial analysis.
  • Treasury and Cash Management:
    • Monitor cash balances and currency exposures.
    • Manage foreign exchange exposures.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Review tax returns and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
    • Oversee VAT returns.
  • Audit Support:
    • Prepare statutory financial statements.
    • Coordinate year-end audits.
  • Payroll and Remuneration:
    • Review monthly payrolls.
    • Support payroll inquiries with HR.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable:
    • Ensure tax-compliant invoice processing.
    • Prepare payment runs and maintain master data.
  • Project Work:
    • Implement process improvements.
    • Develop monthly financial reporting systems.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Oversee service providers and manage shareholder matters.
    • Prepare the annual budget.

About the candidate:

  • Minimum four years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in financial services.
  • Accounting degree and professional qualification.
  • Experience with Swiss, German, and UK GAAP and tax legislation.
  • Understanding of the asset management industry.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Financial modeling experience and regulated environment experience are advantages.
  • Excellent command of English and German.
