Senior Trading Engineer

PTS is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Senior Trading Engineer. This position is based in Geneva, conveniently located on the trading floor. Our team turns high business ambitions with innovative ideas into high-performing and resilient technology. We work closely with traders and risk managers to define priorities and develop custom solutions in and around our risk management system Front Arena. Your role
- Designing, developing, testing and deploying software solutions.
- Programming in Python and ADFL in a DevOps model.
- Being the product owner for the Front Arena trading system.
- Gathering requirements and defining their scope in close collaboration with the principal trading and market risk units, covering both quantitative and technical aspects.
- Investigating and debugging production issue 24/5.
- Collaborating with the vendor to enhance and develop the product.
- Training and mentoring other resources, both internally within the team and stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills (minimum M.Sc. level in mathematics, physics, engineering, etc.).
- At least five years of experience of successful project management and project delivery in a trading system environment.
- Prior experience in the Front Arena trading system will be a major advantage.
- Strong programming experience in Python and curiosity for new technologies and systems.
- Strong knowledge of the capital markets industry, including trading, position and risk management.
- Fluent in English. Fluent in French is a plus.
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment.
- First-class interpersonal skills.
- A passion for continual learning to keep pace with the changing financial markets.
- Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
