Wipro is looking for a Business Development Director for Switzerland

Location: Zurich / Hybrid

Your mission: As Business Development Director – you are responsible for the client acquisition and the development of on-going client relationships. Your experience of selling in the IT-Service industry in the Swiss market creates an added value for our clients and strengthens Wipro’s position. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen and a keen sense for the latest developments and trends on the market. Furthermore, you will evaluate the market, analyze client needs, develop business plans, initiate and close business deals.

Your tasks:

  1. The focus is the acquisition of new clients across the Swiss market (German speaking part).
  2. Nurturing and growth of existing relationships.
  3. Market analysis with regards to new business and expansion opportunities.
  4. Benchmarking with competition as well as reporting and forecasting.
  5. Ramp-up planning as well as the launch of new projects.
  6. Position Wipro as an IT partner of choice among the defined target customers.

Your qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  2. 15+ years’ working experience, whereof at least 5 years’ as Sales Executive in the Swiss IT market.
  3. Experience in handling larger outsourcing engagements within the IT-Service industry (pre-sales or sales phase).
  4. Proven track record of sales successes.
  5. Project Management experience.
  6. Willingness to travel.
  7. Open, communicative and team-oriented.
  8. Self-reliant and compelling.
  9. Analytic and conceptual frame of mind.
  10. Goal-oriented, resilient.
  11. Business fluent / native in German and English.
  12. Well networked at the CXO layers of customer organisations in Switzerland.
