SAGE is a student satellite team with the ambitious goal of launching the first CubeSat carrying human cells. The objective is to investigate how aging occurs differently in space compared to Earth. The team is dedicated to developing and testing a flight-ready spacecraft, learning about aerospace engineering along the way, and ultimately launching their contribution to space
The Position – Embedded Hardware EngineerThe On-Board Computer is completely developed in-house. Your role entails maintaining the schematics and iterating on the existing PCB layout, managing the BOM, ordering and manufacturing the PCBs, and supporting the SW team.
We have a prototype in the second revision, and are looking to iterate and improve on it.
You won’t be starting from scratch and will have support from the team.
- (Basic) knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design (Altium)
- Motivation to learn on your own
- Ideally, some experience with designing and manufacturing PCBs
- Field of study: Electrical Engineering
