UniSieve started as an ETH Zürich spin-off in 2018. Today, we are a cleantech company headquartered in the heart of Zurich with a clear mission:

Decarbonize the Heavy-Emitting Industry via Sieving Membranes.

Many sectors need the separation and purification of liquids and gases. Today’s state-of-the-art separation consumes over 10% of global energy The UniSieve solution enables our clients to save up to 90% of this energy, drastically lowering the associated emissions and costs while improving production yields. That significantly contributes to a sustainable future in many industries and is a relevant step toward Net Zero.

The position

UniSieve has set up and controls all supply chain steps, from the base chemicals for the membranes to the turn-key containerized solutions. This includes chemical and coating processes, engineering, and construction of gas systems that comply with the high safety standards of the chemical and energy industry. Now, we are looking for a Head of Operations to scale up and optimize our supply chain to meet future demand.

The Head of Operations is responsible for scaling and managing the entire supply chain. This includes:

  • Plan and execute the entire production with the team and meet the timelines. Review the growth expectations and scale the required supply chain steps to deliver timely orders.
  • Optimize operational processes to guarantee that all manufacturing phases are performed efficiently and effectively. Select and implement appropriate ERP systems to comply with increasing organizational demands,
  • Intensify, extend, and manage external supplier and sub-contractor partnerships.
  • Introduce QA/QC processes for internal and external production steps, ensuring excellent quality standards are met.
  • Ensure that all required safety standards are met without exception.
  • Manage maintenance demands for internal production equipment.

Your story

  • Academic degree in engineering, science, technology, or similar.
  • Ideally: Training in project management, business administration, Six Sigma, or other process management training
  • 5+ years of experience working in an industrial production/supply chain leadership role in the Chemical, Energy, Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing industry.
  • Ideally, combined expertise in coating processes, engineering of gas systems, and chemical production lines is a strong plus.
  • Ideally, you have already scaled or transformed part or the whole of a supply chain.
  • Strong team leadership experience, with people coaching at the heart of what you do.

Experienced in managing or even implementing ERP systems.

  • Outstanding project management skills. Ability to anticipate bottlenecks, clarify project priorities, identify risks, and efficiently problem-solve.
  • Plus: experience with legal contracts and processes for formalizing partnerships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Desire to live in Zurich, with a willingness to travel.
  • Exceptional communication skills are a necessity, as well as high proficiency in English.
