Expected duration of assignment: Feb 3, 2025, to Dec 31, 2025, renewable up to two years, dependent on performance and availability of funds.

1. Objective of the assignment

CLIP (goclip.org // Creators Learn Intellectual Property) is a rights awareness digital platform that was launched in November 2023. CLIP empowers creators with a better understanding of how their creative industry works and what are their rights and responsibilities as creators. Currently focused on the music industry, CLIP will expand to cover other creative sectors.

Among its key initiatives to reach creators worldwide, CLIP is prioritizing partnerships and localization. This includes collaborations with regional partners, who take an active role in promoting creators’ rights within their region; CLIP Champions, who are professional creators that promote at festivals and events within their networks; industry partners, who refer to CLIP directly within their websites or applications; and third-party media producers, whom we will be engaging to produce content for CLIP from their countries or regions.

CLIP is also prioritizing the production of “Light Content,” which are short, digestible content pieces based on interviews, testimonials, and expert insights designed to illustrate the platform’s “Core Content” with real-world applications and stories.

The CLIP Program and Content Coordinator plays a vital role in helping CLIP reach creators worldwide by facilitating the development of Light Content and delivering essential programmatic support.

This is an 80% role, requiring 32 hours per week.

2. Deliverables/services

Key responsibilities, under the guidance of and with direction from the Senior Product and Project Manager, WIPO for Creators, and in close collaboration with CLIP team members:

  1. Maintain the CLIP Light Content production calendar.
  2. Draft Light Content.
  3. Provide programmatic support.

Each responsibility includes specific tasks:

  1. Maintain the CLIP Light Content production calendar:

    1. Schedule and moderate weekly content production meetings.
    2. Send meeting summaries and action points.
    3. Communicate on milestones and due dates for content production.
    4. Follow-up with team members, partners, and third-party video producers to adhere to the content production schedule.

  2. Draft Light Content:

    1. Draft initial versions of Light Content in close alignment with CLIP Core Content following the agreed-upon content production schedule and selected content pieces.
    2. Coordinate the review and approval of content by subject matter experts.
    3. Perform final proofreading and coordinate the translation of content.
    4. Draft related materials such as for promotional communications.

  3. Provide programmatic support:

    1. Process contracts and invoices.
    2. Provide first-line communication support with certain partners, such as for the sharing of assets and materials with CLIP Champions and music festivals.
    3. Maintain a well-organized and meticulous administrative archive.

3. Reporting

The incumbent works in the Copyright Management Division, under the supervision of the Senior Product and Project Manager, WIPO for Creators.

4. Profile

Education

Essential:

  • First-level university degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing (portfolio).
  • Experience in administrative work, such as managing schedules, organizing files, and following office procedures.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SEO writing practices and strategies.
  • Experience working in a corporate setting.
  • Experience communicating with and providing support to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with multilingual content.

Languages

Essential: Excellent spoken and written knowledge of English.

Desirable: Working knowledge of French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, or Arabic.

5. Duration of contact and payment

The contract will start on February 3, 2025, and will end on December 31, 2025, renewable for up to a total of two years.
