Who are we?

OBS is a forward-thinking, bilingual, private day school in Wollerau that offers children aged three months to 18 years a student-centered and holistic learning experience. We are pioneers in the use of technology inside and outside the classroom, be it digital learning, virtual reality or eSports. The position: Head of Middle and Upper School Grades 7-12 (100%) (m/f/d)

Starting 1. August 2025, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated leader to lead our Middle and Upper school to become a place of innovation and joy of learning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategy: Take on the pedagogical and operational leadership of Grades 7-12, ensuring a challenging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that aligns with the vision and mission of the Obersee Bilingual School.
  2. Curriculum Development: Drive the advancement and implementation of the middle school curriculum with a focus on academic excellence and personal growth for students.
  3. Teacher Development: Support and develop the teaching team through regular feedback, coaching, and targeted professional development opportunities.
  4. Student-Centered Focus: Foster a positive, student-centered environment where all learners can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, parents, and colleagues to ensure smooth transitions between grade levels and into high school.
  6. Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the middle school and upper school, ensuring adherence to school policies and efficient resource management.

Your profile:

  1. Proven leadership experience in a comparable position.
  2. Recognised school leadership qualification (EDK or equivalent) with a strong educational background.
  3. Strong proficiency in German and English is an advantage.
  4. A visionary leader who can inspire students, staff, and parents alike.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural sensitivity.
  6. Strong organisational and solution-oriented mindset with a structured approach.
  7. Experience in change management, team development, and promoting a collaborative teaching and learning culture.
  8. A passion for innovative, future-focused education that meets the needs of 21st-century learners.
