We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Payroll & HR Administration Officer to join our Human Resources function in Geneva.

Working closely with the Head of Human Resources, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and accurate management of payroll and day-to-day HR administration.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is reliable and well organised, and likes taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly Swiss payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments
  • Process all payroll-related changes, including new joiners, leavers, salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances and other variable elements
  • Manage social insurance matters, including AVS/AHV, pension fund, accident and sickness insurance, family allowances and maternity/paternity allowances
  • Handle withholding tax and other payroll-related statutory requirements
  • Prepare year-end payroll activities, including salary certificates and annual declarations
  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll data in Abacus
  • Manage day-to-day HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to departure
  • Prepare employment contracts, amendments, confirmations, certificates and other HR documents
  • Manage absences, holidays and time-recording information
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, controls and HR reports
  • Liaise with pension fund, insurance providers, compensation offices and other external partners
  • Respond to employees' questions related to payroll and HR administration
  • Support the continuous improvement and digitalisation of HR and payroll processes

Your profile

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Swiss payroll and HR administration
  • Very good knowledge of Swiss payroll processes, social insurances and withholding tax
  • Good practical knowledge of Abacus, particularly its Payroll
  • Very good Excel skills and comfortable working with HR and payroll systems
  • Commercial education or a relevant qualification in HR, payroll or social insurance
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Strong affinity with numbers and excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised, reliable and able to work independently
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Flexible, engaged and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • Positive and service-oriented, with a genuine interest in HR
