Plant Manager

As the Plant Manager of Chocolat Alprose, you oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our production site in Caslano. With strong leadership skills and guided by our code of conduct, you act as a role model and motivate your team to achieve the production and quality targets of the company.

You empower people to excel, ensuring that all safety measures are consistently followed. Your area of responsibility covers around 80 employeesworking in production, supply chain, quality assurance, technical services and product management.

In a dynamic chocolate manufacturing environment, processes evolve constantly. You easily adapt to changes, maintain an open mindset and proactively look for opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and stability across production lines. You collaborate with other plant managers within the group and contribute to business development, supporting the evolution of the site’s core competencies, including special productions and product innovation.

Your responsibilities as Plant Manager at Alprose:

• Ensuring efficient and stable production through pragmatic daily solutions and forward-looking strategic planning.
• Defining clear processes and a transparent flow of information across departments.
• Fostering a positive team atmosphere, effective communication and strong on-site presence.
• Initiating and managing the optimization of the site, production lines and processes with a hands-on approach and technical knowledge.
• Managing based on KPIs and developing the site economically in close cooperation with company management.

What you bring as Plant Manager at Alprose:

A relevant degree or comparable qualification in industrial engineering, food science, production technology or related fields.

• Several years of experience managing a production plant or manufacturing unit, ideally in the food industry.
• A hands-on mentality, adaptive and open mindset combined with strategic thinking and technical expertise.
• An empathetic and determined personality, with the courage to challenge and improve existing processes.
• Excellent business and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of English and Italian; additional languages are an advantage.
