Wir suchen eine:n Kitchen Trainee für unser Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich Team

Das Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich befindet sich im Herzen der Altstadt, im Hauptgeschäftszentrum, in der Nähe der Freizeitattraktionen der Stadt und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Ufer des Zürichsees entfernt. Das Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zürich verfügt über 80 Gästezimmer und Suiten sowie drei gastronomische Einrichtungen, darunter ein ganztägig geöffnetes Restaurant, ein Spezialitätenrestaurant und eine Lobby Lounge. Das Hotel ist ideal für Meetings und Veranstaltungen geeignet, und die Renovierung wird die Konferenz- und Veranstaltungseinrichtungen, einschließlich eines großen historischen Ballsaals, verbessern.

Startdatum April 2025 oder August 2025.

Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the old town, within the main business centre, close to the city's leisure attractions and a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich features 80 guestrooms and suites and three dining outlets, comprising an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The property is ideally placed for meetings and gatherings, and the renovation will enhance conference and event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

YOUR TASKS

Als Kitchen Trainee werden Sie verantwortlich für folgende Aufgaben sein

  • Unterstützung des Küchenteams bei allen täglichen Küchenarbeiten für alle F&B Outlets
  • Mitarbeit bei der Herstellung des gesamten Mise en Place auf verschiedenen Posten (z.B. Saucier, Entremetier, Gardemanger)
  • Einhaltung aller Richtlinien sowie sachgemässe Lagerung aller Lebensmittel
  • Einhaltung und tägliche Kontrolle der Hygienevorschriften und der Sauberkeit im Rahmen der HACCP-Richtlinien

As Kitchen Trainee you will be responsible for the following duties:  

  • Supporting the kitchen team in all daily kitchen tasks for all F&B outlets
  • Assisting in the production of the entire mise en place in various positions (e.g. saucier, entremetier, gardemanger)
  • Compliance with all guidelines and proper storage of all foodstuffs
  • Compliance and control with the specified stock levels and ensuring proper storage

Als Kitchen Trainee erwarten wir von Ihnen:  

  • Immatrikulation als Student/in an einer Schweizer Hotelfachschule
  • Flexibilität und Belastbarkeit – zu Ihrer Position gehören Wochenend- und Feiertagsschichten
  • Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Teamfähigkeit, Zuverlässigkeit sowie Kochbegeistert
  • Hohes Engagement und Qualitätsbewusstsein
  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse. Weitere Fremdsprachenkenntnisse sind von Vorteil

As Kitchen Trainee, we expect from you:  

  • Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, reliability and cooking enthusiast
  • High level of commitment and high quality awareness
  • Fluent in English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
