Do you have a passion for space? Are you ready to dive into real-world projects that challenge and inspire? Join us for the Journey to Space
The CubeSat Mission SAGE investigates the aging of human cells in the microgravity of the low earth orbit. Understanding space's impact on the human body is crucial for future space exploration, and our satellite houses a state of the art human model system, providing scientifically relevant data directly in orbit.
The Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) controls the satellites orientation in space, for different operational modes such as pointing the antennas towards the ground station on earth, pointing the solar panels to face the sun for energy generation or orienting the satellite in a way to prevent overheating, making it an essential component for the success of any satellite mission.
Your Role:
- Design custom state estimation and control algorithms
- Design tests to validate custom and off the shelf control algorithms
- Test the performance of the ADCS hardware
- Investigate the abilities of an existing ADCS solution
Your Skills:
- Knowledge of control and state estimation algorithms
- Coding experience in MATLAB
- Willingness to adapt and learn new things
- Basic knowledge of C/C++ and some experience with microcontrollers is a benefit
Why Join Us:
- Space Exploration: Contribute to a project studying how human cells age in space, making a real impact on scientific research.
- Learn and Grow: Expand your knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment.
- Collaborate Across Industries: Engage with professionals from diverse backgrounds, expand your network, and open doors to unique opportunities.
- Launch your contribution to space
Working Conditions:
- Project start: Mai, 2024
- Duration: Minimum of 2 Semesters
- Working hours: 10-15/h per week, varying
