ISCS is a British School that provides the Cambridge International curriculum to the whole community of Swiss and International students. Our school delivers quality education all the way from Early Years to Year 13. We are building a strong community of students, parents and an ISCS Team of staff that are highly motivated, supportive of the aims of the school and work together to maximise opportunities for all.

This is an exciting time in the development of our school as we are growing in numbers year on year, thanks to the work of the team and our growing presence in the community. As a result, we are now seeking more excellent Professionals to enrich our Team. Our class sizes are currently around 8-15 students.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Secondary teacher of Business/Economics to join the School from August 2024, due to the expansion of our Secondary Department. Candidates must be enthusiastic about teaching Secondary years in an inclusive school setting. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality teaching and learning in an international setting, creative in their thinking and a student of learning. The successful candidate will also be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent classroom practitioner.

What do we look for?

The successful applicant for the teaching post will require the following:

Good Bachelors Degree Certificated teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalentRelevant teaching experience in a UK or International setting following the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales Experience of teaching Business/Economics in Secondary, with focus on IGCSE and A level.Fluent English language Thorough knowledge and understanding of the pedagogy of Teaching & Learning Innovative and inspirational practitionerHigh expectations of students and the teamExperience of using technology to promote learning Professional approach in line with the Teachers' StandardsAdaptability of approachExperience of writing Schemes of Learning and reacting to curriculum change Excellent interpersonal skillsB or C permit to work and live in Switzerland are desirable.
