This role plays a vital part in implementing and integrating strategic projects to ensure full integration with all TRD functions where needed.
About the Role

Your main responsibilities:

  • Conduct gap assessment and define system design and configuration to enhance end user satisfaction.
  • Create and manage system configuration static master data in key applications to drive standardization and normalization of global/site static master data.
  • Collaborate with system and process owners, contribute to system governance and change advisory board, conduct risk assessment, RCA, and impact assessments for changes and issues.
  • Lead project development as a workstream lead, initiate changes to key applications in collaboration with line functions and IT.
  • Establish and manage URS, responsible for testing and validation UAT / OQ / PQ.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, internal procedures, and GxP requirements.
  • Identify harmonization opportunities across TRD, collaborate with business process experts, and facilitate global standardization in key applications.
  • Support key application lifecycle management, coordinate with Dev IT and Line Functions for system/application enhancement projects with external partners.
  • Provide guidance, training, and education on key application usage and best practices, act as a mentor for team members.
  • Encourage a culture of learning and best practice sharing, embody Novartis values and behaviors.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Technician or Bachelor/Master's degree in Life Science or Information Technology (e.g., analytical / organic chemistry / pharmacy / pharmaceutical development, IT) or equivalent. Proficient English.
  • Knowledge in quality principles in drug development such as GMP; understanding of general regulatory and quality expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and technical writing. Experienced in a relevant position in a GMP environment. Proficient in project management, organization, and planning.
  • Technical and regulatory knowledge, experience in pharmaceutical research and technical development.
  • Familiar with GMP environment, IT systems (e.g., eLN, GLIMS, SAP), and data tool interfaces.

Desirable requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (Ph.D., MSc or equivalent). Knowledge of IT tools (e.g., eLN, GLIMS, SAP) and interest in new digital tools.
  • Track record of successful leadership in interdisciplinary teams, innovative mindset, and problem-solving skills.
