Spot/Operational Buyer - SAP SRM/MM vacancy for our Zürich based client in the Banking sector. Your Responsibilities Execute operational purchasing activities across Indirect Spend categories (primarily Services & Software) Manage requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, and supplier coordination within SAP SRM and SAP MM Act as a Spot Buyer, handling smaller and ad-hoc procurement requests independently Review, assess, and compare software and license quotes (perpetual vs. term, transferability, EULA basics, maintenance & support) Execute procurement and contracting processes according to predefined category cards, SOPs, and governance rules Conduct basic supplier negotiations to support cost-reduction initiatives on low-complexity topics Review contract clauses to ensure alignment with internal policies Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process optimization Confidently engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers Your Profile 1-2 years' experience in Indirect Spend purchasing, ideally in Services or Software/Licenses Experience handling PR - PO workflows and operational procurement processes Basic commercial and negotiation skills with proven small-scale cost-reduction achievements Experience buying or selling software/licenses, including evaluating license quotes Advantage: previous employment with Swiss software resellers such as SoftwareOne, Bechtle, Stellium, Crayon Understanding of core licensing concepts (perpetual vs. term, EULA, maintenance & support) SAP SRM and SAP MM experience (basic to intermediate level) Strong analytical skills and ability to learn and follow structured processes Languages: German (fluent) and English (good) Your Soft Skills Proactive fast learner with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset Mature and confident communicator Strong teamwork capabilities Reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment Location: Zürich, SwitzerlandWork setting: HybridSector: BankingStart: ASAPDuration: 6 monthsWorkload: 100%Ref.Nr.: BH 23574Take the next step and send us your resume along with a daytime phone number where we can reach you.Due to Swiss work permit restrictions, we can only consider applications from Swiss nationals, EU citizens, and current work-permit holders for Switzerland.We welcome applications from individuals of all genders, age groups, sexual orientations, personal expressions, ethnic backgrounds, and religious beliefs.
