Your responsibilities

Excited to be part of a team working on powering particle detectors for cutting-edge collider experiments? Are you a skilled ASIC design engineer familiar with power electronics? Join the DCDC converter team in EP-ESE-ME and:

  • Design DCDC converters using various High Voltage technologies
  • Engage in all stages of the R&D cycle of DCDC converters, from architecture selection to schematic and layout design
  • Contribute to testing and full characterization of newly developed ASIC converters
  • Explore radiation tolerance of commercial Silicon and GaN technology for future DCDC converters

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge:

  • Design and simulate analog and DCDC converter circuits
  • Experience with electronic lab instruments
  • Proficiency in Matlab or Python
  • Fluency in English, French proficiency is a plus

Eligibility criteria:

  • Maximum of two years of professional experience post-graduation with a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • No prior CERN fellowship or graduate contract
  • University degree required, PhD holders ineligible

Additional Information

Job closing date: at 12:00 AM (midnight) CET

Contract duration: 24 months, extendable up to 36 months

Position requirements:

  • Work in Radiation Areas
  • Residence near Organization's installations
  • Valid driving licence
  • Availability for night shifts, Sundays, and official holidays as needed
