    Project Manager Greenfield EAME
  • As Project Manager Greenfield, you will lead one of our strategic core initiatives in Europe overseeing and coordinating all aspects of planning a new manufacturing site from start to finish. The new factory will serve as a new production site of our Taste and Wellbeing business.
  • The initial phase of the project can be carried out at one of our designated sites: Kemptthal CH; Budapest HU; Dortmund DE; or Warsaw PL. However, during this planning phase, it will be necessary for you to spend the majority of your time in Kemptthal to closely collaborate with the project team and engage with key stakeholders. In the second phase of the project, which involves the construction of the new factory, you would need to relocate to the chosen country within Central Eastern Europe to oversee the onsite project delivery.
  • You will report to the Head of Operations Europe T&W.

You will:

Strategy design

  • Conduct financial and strategic analysis of project scenarios and prepare them for approval by sponsors and steering committees
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the CAPEX project. You should be proactive in identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions
  • Manage change, facilitate smooth transitions, and ensure stakeholder buyin

Project Management

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including cost, time, and resource estimations, and implementation steps with clear milestones
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management plans, and monitoring risks throughout the project
  • Prepare regular progress reports, documenting project milestones, and maintaining project documentation. Including tracking of project changes, issues, and lessons learned
  • Work together with multiple partners from Commercial, Controlling, Engineering, Quality/EHS, and Operations
  • Ensure compliance with Givaudan processes and required quality standards

Stakeholder Management

  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, such as senior management, department heads, external partners, and the project team
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders of all different organization levels through effective communication regarding project status, requirements, and benefits organization with a special focus on sensitive topics.
  • Assemble and lead the project team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and structure, and monitoring progress

You have:

  • Master degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in project management in a multinational matrix organization with special regard to Operational Transformation programs or planning of new manufacturing sites
  • Project Management Certification
  • Experience in leading sizeable CAPEX projects, new sites, and new geography from project launch (Greenfield) to handover of working operations to local business
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills whilst maintaining integrity are essential as you will be liaising with all levels of management and operations
  • Having a demonstrated history of successfully working in crosscultural and crossfunctional environments
  • Fluent business English, any other European language of advantage
