The position

  • As our new Head of Market Access for Switzerland at Novo Nordisk, you will be leading a small team of Market Access Professionals where you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure product accessibility to patients, healthcare providers, and payers. This involves collaboration with crossfunctional teams, managing resources for pricing and market access, and optimizing market access operations. The goal is to secure and defend market access while reflecting the value of Novo Nordisk brands. This position reports to the Sr. Director Market Access, Public Affairs and Comms.
  • Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Strategic Responsibilities: Develop and execute market access strategies and tactics, staying informed about government and healthcare initiatives, competitor landscape and market trends that impact Novo Nordisk and identify opportunities and threats.
  • Functional Responsibilities: Secure reimbursement for products, optimize and defend access for the portfolio, prepare submissions and support the team in preparation of submissions, and collaborate with health insurance companies to support the team with negotiations and innovative contracting strategies. Develop argumentation for value discussion and support launch planning and budget planning process.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Manage and actively lead the Pricing and Market Access team by delegating, developing, managing performance and recognizing achievements and foster a positive working climate. Ensure compliance with business ethics and quality systems, and communicate affiliate strategy

Qualifications University degree preferably in Health Sciences

  • Fluency in English is required with preferably advanced German language as well, knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • Extensive industry experience in complex & sophisticated markets
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills while effectively and persuasively articulating complex issues to key decisionmakers.
  • Strong strategic planning and strategy execution skills
