The Luxury W&J Division's Operations Manager oversees the organizational activities of the division, developing retail strategies whilst managing within agreed budgets, identifying and monitoring revenue targets, driving all processes related to the development and allocation of its brand portfolio, controlling the procurement of stocks and their balance and integrity, to ensure its overall performance and maximise profitability.


  • University Degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
  • Fluent English. Any additional language is an advantage.
  • Previous Luxury W&J Retail Management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and most common Business Intelligence packages.
  • Highly organised with the ability to adapt quickly to strategic change.
  • Ability to manage and develop a positive and productive relationship with all members of the division.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Customer focused.
  • In line with the Head of Luxury Retail W&J's guidelines, the Operations Manager develops the division's buying and selling strategies in order to maximize adapted guest experiences, sales and profitability for the Company. (ca. 45%)

Core activities:

  • Negotiate contracts and define SRM (Supplier Relations Management) framework;
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable;
  • Define product mix and brand portfolio analysing consumer trends and global market specificities\/demand;
  • Define pricing strategies and structures per season which deliver compelling price advantage and savings to our guests;
  • Visit vessels, partners and industry fairs;
  • The Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing overall business performance and return on investments through the development of business intelligence capabilities. (ca. 45%)

Core activities:

  • Analyze and measure the overall performance of all categories and provide relevant, actionable insights to support the Head of the division with the formulation of retail strategies;
  • Set up the yearly budget process and actively participate in its formulation;
  • Support the Head of the Division managing the P&L within allocated budget to affect a profitable performance;
  • Support the Head of the division providing updates to top management;
  • Communicate and monitor articulated sales targets for all vessels;
  • Provide direction to the creation of an "Open to Buy" process.
  • The Operations Manager designs and ensures implementation of onboard shops lay out to have an excellent setup for customers, and defines marketing activities to maximise revenue in liaison with Retail Luxury Manager. (ca. 10%)

Core activities:

  • Define with partners: brand placement and shop layout;
  • Reviews with Retail Luxury Manager expected layouts for onboard shop operations teams to implement, revise and improve;
  • Works in partnership with the Retail Luxury Manager to identify and create regionally adapted promotion opportunities with\/without partners and agree yearly planning and targets for each season\/area for shops operations team to implement;
