Role Summary

The main responsibility of Level 2 Audio Visual Technicians is to offer AV technical and event support for meeting rooms within the client's premises.

This role involves frequent interaction with top-level management and directors to deliver the services listed below.

Duties and Responsibilities

All services must be provided on time and within agreed SLA's. The Level 2 Audio Visual Technician is expected to offer exceptional customer service and both proactive and reactive support efficiently.

  • Handle Level 3 incident management
  • Generate and present weekly and monthly reports detailing faults, fixes, and trends
  • Escalate and update incidents to the client and Project Manager
  • Show end users how to use AV and VC technology independently whenever feasible
  • Conduct proactive system checks following standard operating procedures
  • Support service continuity, including during planned and unplanned disruptions
  • Assist with software updates
  • Provide solutions for video/audio conferencing issues, investigating faults and suggesting corrective actions
  • Maintain all multimedia/presentation rooms in optimal condition
  • Offer support for multimedia events, including throughout the entire duration
  • Set up and provide technical support for AV and VC in all meeting rooms
  • Respond promptly to emergency/ad-hoc requests
  • Help with IT queries during support sessions and escalate if necessary
  • Advise clients on best practices
  • Provide feedback on communication challenges and suggest service enhancements
  • Aid in training new team members and freelancers
  • Develop and nurture client relationships
  • Be flexible and support the team in all departmental aspects
  • Handle manual equipment handling tasks when needed

Events / Broadcasts

  • Support live broadcast project management across client sites
  • Participate in event production meetings
  • Oversee high-profile auditorium-based IPOs and results presentations
  • Collaborate with specialized production and facilities companies for events and broadcasts
  • Facilitate on-demand webcasts featured on the client's Intranet

Video / Audio Conferencing

  • Set up and support video/audio conferences, ensuring timely connection and quality transmission
  • Handle video/audio conferencing issues and propose solutions
  • Coordinate globally
  • Assist the Project Manager in projects across all locations
  • Be prepared for travel within the UK and EMEA
  • Maintain strong relationships with global AV counterparts
  • Hold and attend regular meetings with global AV teams to address service and operational issues


Skills Profile

  • Project management experience – overseeing projects in the UK, EMEA, and internationally
  • Detailed knowledge of Creston, Cisco, and Extron equipment
  • Experience in commissioning and installing systems in corporate environments
  • Understanding of video conference standards and protocols
  • Familiarity with networks
  • Industry experience related to AV and VC activities
  • Previous customer-facing roles in a corporate setting
  • Hold a CTS certification
  • Strong focus on customer service
