Within the Global Carrier Management team, a newly built
IFRS Implementation Office is set up to drive and own the
IFRS implementation activities from the business side, working closely with the
IFRS Delivery Team.

This role will lead all
IFRS implementation activities for the EMEA and Americas carriers; and will act as deputy to Head
IFRS Implementation Office.

The role will also drive the reporting efficiency transformation topics, system stabilisation and reporting automation, and strategic direction of the legal entity
IFRS valuations.

About the team
Global Carrier Management is newly formed team within the Group Finance Division.

The mandate of the newly built department is to ensure accurate, compliant and timely regulatory and statutory reporting of their respective Legal Entities.

Additionally, they will ensure the fulfilment of the Legal Entity CFO duties, including the interaction with the local Boards, local regulators, external auditors and internal control functions.


About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated professional who will lead the implementation of all Local
IFRS entities across EMEA and Americas.

Drive successful transition from project to Carrier Management of close processes working with external third-party provider. The role involves proactive connection with Global
IFRS 17 adoptions, to ensure successful transition for future jurisdictions.

IFRS

  • Plan and implementation for the transition of
    IFRS 17/9 to internal Swiss Re technology platform post Group
    IFRS debut
  • Drive transition from project to BAU, including FPSL integration
  • Represent Carrier Management for Group
    IFRS topics where required
Process

  • Drive successful operating model implementation across Carrier Management, Actuarial Management, and Tax departments, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities
  • Work closely with
    IFRS Delivery team on process mapping, TOM development,
    IFRS 17/9 and non
    IFRS processes post launch
  • Lead the implementation of controls and RCSA frameworks in new
    IFRS frameworks across EMEA and Americas Carriers
Management and Board Reporting

  • Work with Carrier teams to centrally lead BoD preparation to ensure consistency of
    IFRS messaging
  • Support Carrier teams on transitional management reporting under
    IFRS 17/9
Automation and Efficiency

  • Embrace efficiencies within the TOM on local
    IFRS and non
    IFRS process efficiency Lead automation opportunities, reporting efficiency and linkage across systems globally

About You

We are looking for YOU - 5+ years of relevant experience in a project management, ground-breaking capacity, strategic and technical operational activity.

Have the ability to evidence success in leading a sophisticated global business operation and having a commercial attitude to motivate change.

As well as good understanding of the insurance industry at large and experience with key markets, competitors, clients, products and the regulatory environment is a key success factor.


Essentials:

  • 8+ years of handson Finance experience in doing monthly / quarterly / annual close of entities and working closely with Local Entity Accountants / Financial Controllers / CFO
  • Strong track record in optimizing operational processes and tools, adapting to change at speed
  • Process and delivery mindset striving for continuous methodological and operational improvements using a detailed approach for a build and run environment, both in business and IT
  • Strong affinity to change, willingness to try out new things, technologies and practices
  • Strategic acuity and commercial mindset in a market context in (re)insurance

Good to have:

  • Ability to build trust and relationships quickly in a sophisticated partner environment
  • Strong sense for community and always seeking a collaborative approach across a broad range of partners
  • Qualification: University degree or similar
  • Knowledge of the SwissRe organization as well as additional technical qualifications are a plus
