We first identify high-potential compounds for in-licensing, clinically demonstrate their safety and efficacy and then select large pharmaceutical commercialization partners to maximize patient access globally.

For our Translational Medicine organization based at our Headquarters in Lausanne, we are looking for a

Translational Pharmacology Intern (12 months)

Join our Translational Pharmacology team and contribute to the company success through revealing the mechanism of action of USP1 (Ubiquitin-specific protease 1) inhibitor and Wee-1 inhibitor to identify combinatorial partners and pharmacodynamic biomarkers.

Coached by our Translational Pharmacology Head, and mentored by our scientific team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the progress of two Debiopharm lead programs in oncology with a combination of in silico, in vitro and in vivo approaches using cutting edges technologies.


Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Deep dive search using public and Debiopharm data platforms which can include AI ap-proaches
Design in vitro studies to validate the results of the deep dive search
Identify CROs that can perform the designed in vitro studies
Negotiate with CROs, supported by the team
Validate results with in vivo studies
Analyze and interpret the final results
Present the final results & your strategy to the Translational Medicine Team

Requirements:

PhD in Life Sciences in Oncology or Molecular Biology
Good knowledge in DNA Damage Repair (DDR) cellular mechanisms
Experience with 3D Cellular Systems is a plus
You are curious to using the new AI tools and possibilities
You are independent, proactive and solution oriented
English C1 required, any additional language is an asset
Team-player and scientific rigor combined with scientific curiosity
Strong interest in starting a career in drug development in Oncology
