Responsibilities

• Actively participate in maintaining, monitoring, and improving the food safety management system and related QC programs according to HACCP in procurement
• Provide expert support to internal procurement departments regarding food safety matters
• Review of articles and suppliers for food safety, legal, and normative requirements; Approval of articles and suppliers
• Ensure the legal compliance of own-brand products (e.g. labeling)
• Implementation and monitoring of product recalls; Initiation & monitoring of actions; Communication with internal & external entities
• Handling of customer and authority complaints; Root cause analysis and action monitoring
• Development, processing, improvement, and training of processes, specification, and documentation
• Participation in interdisciplinary projects
• Participation in the HACCP specialist team

Requirements

• University degree (FH/Uni) in the field of food
• Initial professional experience in the field of QM/QC related to food
• Knowledge of Swiss food legislation
• Proficient use of common MS Office programs (especially MS Excel)
• Very good German and French language skills in speaking and writing, knowledge of Italian is an advantage
• Hands-on mentality, openness to participate in a broad range of tasks
• Proactive; structured, independent, and reliable way of working
• Strong organizational skills, lateral thinking
• Assertiveness, communicative & confident demeanor
• Willingness to travel (national; category B driver's license advantageous)
