Big Data Architect

Tasks

  • Responsible for architecting Data & AI solutions on cloud and/or onpremises
  • Implement security, encryption best practices for Data & AI environments
  • Assist analytical and engineering teams in the design and implementation of high performance systems with large volume data integration processes, storage, processing and provisioning

  • Organize and manage complex customer projects with agile methods (scrum master and project leader)

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer science or equivalent
  • Valid working permit for Switzerland
  • Firm understanding of major programming/scripting languages like Java, Linux, Python, Scala
  • Experience in designing solutions for large data warehouses with a good understanding of clusters and parallel architecture as well as highscale or distributed RDBMS and/or knowledge on NoSQL platforms
  • Experience with public cloud stacks: Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong command of German and English
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, be comfortable with changing priorities and tight deadlines, managing your own workload with minimum supervision
