Job description
3Brain is looking for a full-time Field Application Scientist for its R&D office in
Italy

(Genova) who will work with our scientific team to support customer projects, answer
technical questions, and find creative approaches to solve customer needs
involved in the supervision and the maintenance of a cell culture laboratory, including
between science and sales, working closely with external customers and performing
products and tools.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop an extensive experimental knowledge of the 3Brain's products and of
  • Perform experimental tests with diverse cell preparations and cell models (e.g.,
cultures, spheroids, organoids) on 3Brain's measurement systems.

  • Supervising and maintaining a cell culture laboratory, dealing with the culture
of adherent mammalian cell lines and iPSCs.

  • Process experimental results, perform statistical analysis, prepare, and present
reports.

  • Organization of daily research activities, managing project priorities and
deadlines, identifying, and resolving instrumentation issues, arranging
maintenance contracts and servicing.

  • Routine laboratory maintenance including for example: changing filters, gas
tanks, cleaning machines, ordering equipment supplies and reagents.

  • Scientific consulting and professional service activities for our worldwide
necessary, by travelling to customer locations.

  • Provide remote or in case onsite support to customers while performing
experiments on 3Brain's system.

  • Support sales activities by providing technical consulting and by organizing
and performing on-site or remote system demo.

  • Attend conferences, congress, and trade shows.

  • Required Qualifications
  • PhD degree in molecular biology / biomedical sciences / neurobiology /
- biomedical engineering.- 2+ years of laboratory experience in primary and hIPS cell culturing.
- used in in-vitro neurobiology.
  • Experience with either microelectrode array (MEA), calcium imaging or patch

- clamp recordings.
  • Knowledgeable about statistical analysis tools.
  • Proficient working in a Windows environment.
  • Full proficiency or mother tongue in English.
  • Highly motivated selfstarter and problem solver.


 Additional Qualifications
  • Strong molecular and biochemical background.
  • 1+ years of laboratory experience on cellbased assays for compound
screening.
