  • MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • To ensure the delivery of an innovative, interesting, well attended and easily regulated afterschool boarding activities programme. To promote and advertise all activities, and to ensure that the Boarding programme is highly visible to all areas of the school.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Organising and developing activities after school and evening schedule in the Boarding Houses.
  • Managing the Activities Budget for the boarding in association with the Management.
  • Establishing and promoting good PR with outside providers, parents, staff in all sections of School and students.
  • Organising and developing weekend schedules.
  • Working with Management and the Boarding Community to ensure that the activities programme is successful (client satisfaction, aligned with the budget ).
  • Monitoring and following up on the tutors' performance and effectiveness for the students in the activities programme.
  • Responsible for organising the boarding key annual events.
  • Organising, promoting and attending Boarding trips during holidays.
  • Producing the weekly Bulletin to parents and staff.
  • Publicising all events both before and after through media across the campus and to parents.
  • Performing weekend duty on a rotational basis.
  • Keeping the Boarding Notice Boards and display cabinet up to date.
  • Leading the weekly Boarding Committees.
  • Delivering the monthly Boarders' Assembly Schedule.
  • Promoting and maintaining the Boarding House Competition.
  • Monitoring and promoting the use of House Blogs in order to promote community feeling.
  • Liaising with the Extracurricular Manager.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

  • It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships.
