A Snapshot of Your Day


As the Joint Finance Director and Managing Director (FD/MD) of Siemens Energy Switzerland, you will lead the legal entity in Switzerland with focus on the country related Finance matters and governance topics.

Additionally, you are responsible also for business development and go to market strategies and implementation of the Siemens Energy Governance in the country.


This role combines the responsibilities of the Legal Entity Finance Director together with the responsibilities of the local country governance / Managing Director (double role).

The role reports to the Western Europe Sub Region Head of Finance (Line Manager) for all governance and management topics.


The legal entity FD/MD is part of the Western Europe Sub Region Executive Management Committee (ExCo) and operates in line with EU Hub / Western Europe Sub Region strategy and action plans.


The MD/FD will be a Statutory Director, Chair of the Board of Directors (Verwaltungsrat) of the local Legal Entity and will work together with the Business Area responsible person in the daily operation and management of the local entity in Switzerland.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • You will act as a trusted Partner to the Country's Management Teams and the Western Europe Sub Region VP and Head of Finance, focusing specifically on crossdivisional and country related Finance matters and management of the Finance community.
  • You will represent Siemens Energy towards external stakeholders as the legal entity Managing Director.
  • You will have the responsibility for the integrity of books and records, and for an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System within Switzerland.
  • You will lead, overview, manage and escalate country Finance matters, for example, legal topics and compliance to financial rules; financial legal entity governance, financial risk management, foreign exchange and liquidity, local function and financial topics as well as other critical topics.
  • You will ensure financial planning, integrity of financial reports, and internal controls and will ensure asset, liquidity and risk management to optimize FCF and minimize risk exposure in the Legal Entity across BAs based on minimum requirements and business needs in line with TCF collaboration model, plus efficient capital, financing and tax management
  • In close collaboration with the local Business Area managers, you will develop, adapt and implement lean and efficient organizational structures, procedures and processes considering the relevant legislative and company policies to identify areas suitable for streamlining, safeguard and increase costeffectiveness.
  • You will play a key role together with Sub Region, Business Areas and/or Functions for regional cost optimization and provide a lean platform of Corporate Functions and the overall infrastructure for all businesses in the entities assigned.
  • In close collaboration with the local Business Area managers, you will proactively foster crosscountry collaboration in the region to achieve the overall business targets, supporting and driving functional optimization in your country and region and will actively support country crossBA and/or crossfunctional activities in line with RACI collaboration model
  • You will identify, develop and retain regional talents
  • You will serve as senior country interface towards Corporate Functions and provide country governance for EQS (including EHS; QMS, emergency planning/response [ERT]; Sustainability, etc.)
  • You will provide line management of local RCM employees (under local employment law), ensuring cost optimization and management of RCM & regional infrastructure and will support country employee management/development, internal communications; HR / Country Talent Development
  • You will drive alignment towards overall Siemens Energy interests and defends customer needs together with Sub Region management (Integrated Energy Technology Company)
  • You will ensure compliance with local legal and fiscal requirements (including statutory topics, GPDR) and ensures signing rights / capability to sign contracts, local bank transactions and authorizations for the Legal Entity
  • In close collaboration with the local Business Area managers, you will develop new business / revenue models in collaboration with Business Areas

What You Bring

  • Strong operational experience in leading a Finance function for an international organization ideally for a regional legal entity in a project, sales and service environment.
  • A BA/BS/Master's Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance. ACA, ACCA CIMA or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • You speak German and English fluently. International experience either outside of the home country or in a global corporation is an advantage.
  • You are collaborative and a team player with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
