  • 14/06/2024***We are looking for a motivated Freight Support person to join our Coal freight team at our headquarters in Baar. This position offers you the opportunity to develop into a frontline operations role within the commodity business, looking after the coordination and smooth running with the global Glencore team and external parties involved.

The main tasks and responsibilities include- Maintain counter party records including KYC

  • Follow vessel and cargo nomination process
  • Record and update freight rates
  • Calculate freight differentials
  • Close collaboration with accounting and freight team
  • Monitor list of outstanding payments
  • Assist the Freight team on other administrative tasks including carbon and GHG processes
  • The role is 100% office based works well in a team environment

Qualifications and requirements
  • A sound educational background (commercial apprenticeship or bachelor)
  • 24 years of working experience, ideally in commodity export/logistics
  • Familiarity of IMOS vessel operating system and Sedna
  • Proficiency in English (both verbal and written), any further language is an asset
  • Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU#LI-JD
