Job Description:

We are seeking a Director, Market Access, Partner Markets to lead our efforts in markets beyond US and EU5.

Your strong experience in building and executing market access strategies and tactics will support us to establish a globally aligned market access pathway through sustainable partnerships.

As Deciphera we are dedicated to enable patients access to our innovative products and our promising pipeline.

This position will report to the
VP Market Access
International. The location of the position is flexible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all pricing and access activities for partner markets (Europe and International) in collaboration with key internal and partner functions.
  • Develop prioritization of partner markets and alliance opportunities through assessment in partnership with our Head of Partner Markets
  • Provide guidelines in defining valuebased partnerships and alliances from a market access perspective
  • Ensure evidence synthesis activities (systematic reviews, indirect comparisons, dossier development, etc.) are performed to optimally meet our Partner Markets strategy and support successful product positioning
  • Ensure that partner and country pricing and access strategies are aligned to International Market Access Strategy and are of high quality and are fit for purpose for each country.
  • Actively monitor pricing developments for partner markets and ensure on time internal pricing approval.
  • Ensure development of a partner network with deep countrylevel understanding of payer needs, decisionmaking approaches, strategies, and country reimbursement stakeholders and influence map
  • Based on insights, develop pricing & access strategy incorporating additional evidence needs, value proposition beyond the drug, managed entry schemes and other agreements to ensure mutual value, and pricing strategy.
  • Support development of health economic and outcomes analyses required for access, working in collaboration with internal crossfunctional teams in medical affairs and global HEOR
  • Proactively identify evidence requirements for successful access in partner markets for both commercial and clinical stage assets.
  • Ensure that local access relevant insights and trends are gathered and reported to Market Access International to inform strategic actions.
  • Oversee compliant communication tools to be used in discussions with payers
  • Support the execution of broader market access goals, including pricing targets, revenue targets, access timelines, and overall launch succes

Qualifications:

  • University degree, MBA or PhD in science and/or economics preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the regional launch of innovative therapies; oncology experience is a plus
  • Handson experience with country pricing negotiations; demonstrated knowledge of pricing trends, tactics, and European payer dynamics
  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least one of the core market access domains (pricing, HEOR, policy, local market execution)
  • Experience and proven success working with crossfunctional teams across geographies
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple activities (both "self" and through delegation) and working in a fastpaced environment
  • Fluency in both written and oral English is essential
  • Excellent ability to see the 'bigger picture' in market access and work across domains
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, frequent change and senior level engagements; Ability to confidently seek out help when needed
  • Strong strategic, tactical and operational skills and ability and willingness to switch between strategic and operational level of working
  • Strong learning agility and ability to engage indepth across multiple disease areas
