Position Summary


As a Packaging Innovation Intern, you will be supporting interesting innovation projects in the areas of new consumer experiences, packaging and sustainability.

The Nestlé Product Technology Centre for Beverage at Nestlé Research Orbe near Lausanne / Switzerland develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes, packaging and concepts in the areas of coffee beverage products.

A Day in the Life of a Packaging Innovation Intern

  • Support facilitation of ideation sessions and workshops to generate new concept ideas
  • Initiate new packaging ideas by leveraging consumer knowledge and insights
  • Contribute to packaging design and support on packaging development activities for key projects
  • Prepare sketches, mockups, concepts or movies to present innovative ideas to different internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the packaging design benchmark by providing analyses, trends
  • Manage exploratory projects autonomously
  • Instill design thinking and passion for innovation in the team

What will make you successful

  • Currently completing or just completed a university degree in packaging, innovation or industrial design
  • Passionate for packaging design, innovation and fastmoving consumer goods
  • Personal drive, strong competence in presenting and communication
  • Able to translate ideas into selfexplanatory 2D visualization using any design tool
(e.g. Sketching, Procreate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhinoceros or any other)

  • Creative thinker, independent and driven with sustainability awareness
  • Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
