As a Senior Group Financial Planner, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial forecasting and planning processes at Julius Baer Group. This position is vital for steering the Group and facilitating the achievement of its goals. You will serve as the central hub of expertise for planning matters and Group-level analytics, contributing actively to strategic financial endeavors across the Group. The role demands hands-on involvement in daily operations and a strategic outlook to thrive in a dynamic and multifaceted environment. It offers significant exposure to senior management and business stakeholders. Situated within the Finance organization's Group Budgeting & Planning / Group Performance Management team, this role links you with every part of the Group on a global scale. You will be part of a team of dedicated professionals who promote a collaborative and inclusive work atmosphere.YOUR CHALLENGE
- Assume operational responsibility for relevant forecasting and planning processes comprehensively
- Drive the enhancement of driver-based planning models
- Co-lead the digital transformation journey of the Group Budgeting & Planning team towards the integrated tool-based planning solution Board
- Act as the central hub of expertise for all forecasting, planning, and Group-level analytics
- Engage with pertinent stakeholders at the Group and Division levels to coordinate forecasting and planning processes
- Prepare impactful analytics and presentations for senior management with clear and concise communication, focusing on the bigger picture
- Conduct ad-hoc scenario analyses to anticipate market and business changes
- Contribute to enhancing revenue and cost management frameworks as well as financial steering concepts
- Stand in for the Head Group Budgeting & Planning and be a proactive collaborative partner
YOUR PROFILE
- Strong academic background: University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent, preferably at the Master's level
- Seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services sector
- Strategic mindset and adept stakeholder engagement skills at the middle management and executive echelons
- In-depth understanding of financial processes
- Analytical and quantitative capabilities, including proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills at an operational level. Familiarity with SAP and Board is advantageous
- Stakeholder management acumen ensuring timely delivery of work products by coordinating teams with potentially conflicting interests
- Collaborative approach, capable of engaging with internal stakeholders and third parties
- Business fluency in English, with German proficiency seen as a bonus
