Description

You will work within our cross-functional team to create products from concept to realisation and manage and develop backpacks/bags, gloves and accessories that advance SCOTT's design image, product performance and innovation. You are accountable for devising new product strategies, developing the new product roadmap and work in close collaboration with designers, developers and the fabrics/trims team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in product creation and development, as well as possess outstanding organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities must be performed under fast-paced conditions, so the candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize.

Tasks:

  • Research & analysis of the market for upcoming trends & needs
  • Accountable for the range architecture & product lifecycle planning, naming concepts, the building of line plans and merchandising concepts, considering an efficient and effective fabric and colour usage based on range efficiency targets
  • Develop and implement assortment strategies for the respective product lines in collaboration with our sales & marketing team
  • Create & maintain product line-up in PLM system & maintain SKU efficiency by monitoring success of each product and proposing corrective actions
  • Day-to-day communication exchange with manufacturers in Asia & Europe
  • Responsible for product line-up meetings with marketing & sales to present seasonal product concepts & prototypes to key markets
  • Product presentation to international sales, media & key accounts
  • Multifunctional collaboration between marketing, sales, design, development & operations
  • Work with designers & product development team to develop new products & lines to meet target market requirements & implements the seasonal milestone calendar

We expect:

  • Track record within premium sport brands
  • 3+ years of work experience in sports apparel industry
  • Degree in Business Administration (or equivalent) with connection to textile industry
  • Strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Versed in the complexities of manufacturing processes, colors, coatings & finishes
  • Strong understanding of cut-and-sew quality standards incl. raw material & product assembly
  • Knowledge of product material costing, lead-times & MOQ implications
  • Ability to work in a team, prioritize and manage workload efficiently
  • Proficiency with MS Office, PLM-System, Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Fluent in English, knowledge in German or French
  • Active bike, running or skiing enthusiast and familiar with all the related equipment & gear
