The Drug Product Clinical Supply Center (PTDE-C) in Basel is responsible for manufacturing and packaging sterile dosage forms from the global research and development portfolio. State-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are available in a modern building in Basel to supply clinical studies in Phase I–III.

Your responsibilities:

  • GMP-compliant production (Compounding) and documentation of sterile, clinical trial preparations for parenteral administration in various dosage forms
  • Aseptic work techniques in cleanroom conditions (C and D areas)
  • Preparation and post-processing of production (e.g., cleaning, line clearance)
  • Performing in-process controls/process-related activities, microbiological/physical monitoring activities, sampling (e.g., analytical samples, media, ID samples)
  • Operating equipment/ancillary equipment (e.g., autoclave, filter integrity tester, bag freezer, freeze-thaw cryo containers, shaking water bath, energy wall, CIP/SIP wall)
  • Collaboration on Technical Batches, if necessary, Dispensings
  • Responsibility for assigned equipment
  • Creating, editing, and completing process-related changes, deviations, and general troubleshooting in the applicable Quality System including actions (e.g., risk assessment, equipment documentation adjustments)
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME), authorship, collaboration on PQS documents (e.g., SOP)
  • Role as a contact person for technical questions
  • Detailed planning, coordination, supervision of production
  • Conducting practical training/onboarding
  • Supporting audits and inspections

Your profile:

  • Completed vocational training or a comparable degree in a scientific or technical field (pharmacy, biosciences, natural sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, etc.)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and profound knowledge in aseptic manufacturing, preferably Compounding (solution preparation); Process development and optimization
  • Very good knowledge of German, good English skills in writing and speaking
  • Strong IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google applications, MES, SAP, Veeva)
  • Open and agile mindset, willing to work shifts
  • Highly independent, take responsibility, have a strong quality awareness, and embody an open speak-up and error culture
